How to Celebrate June Dairy Month Across the Country

Thoughts of summer often elicit dreams of great weather, vacations, and … dairy? Although you may not have heard, June is Dairy Month, and all around the country you’re invited to join in the celebrations.

We’ve highlighted a number of events below from MOOvie nights to dairy galas. Click your state for more information.


Arizona: Arizona Milk Producers are celebrating Milk Life’s partnership with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams with activities that encourage the community to “fuel up” like Team USA and help those in need “fuel up” through donations to the Great American Milk Drive.

Arkansas: Visit the Benton County Fairgrounds to participate in a dairy quiz bowl, ice cream social and more!

Georgia: Farms like Southern Belle Farm, in McDonough, offer farm tours and other activities, like pick-your-own fruits and vegetables, throughout the month.

Idaho: Stop by the Jackson Family Farm to learn more about how a dairy farm works, and end your day with some ice cream.   

Illinois: Enjoy June’s cool nights by watching a film at Marcoot Jersey Creamery during their on-farm MOOvie Nights.

Indiana: This summer, follow the Northern Indiana Dairy Trail to visit farms throughout the state.

Iowa: Looking for a kid friendly activity? Check out these Iowa farms hosting family friendly days.

Kansas: Get active by joining the Crazy Cow 5k Run/Walk during the Basehor Dairy Days or visit other farms to learn more about how milk travels from cow to cup.

Kentucky: Have a busy summer? Don’t worry about it. These Kentucky farms offer tours well into the fall.

Louisiana: Want to step back into history? Visit Papa Simpson’s Farm to learn more about the dairy’s past and the story behind dairy farming.
