The Dairy Nutritionist Making All Her Childhood Dreams Come True

Rosemarie Burgos-Zimbelman, a dairy farmer and the head nutritionist for Dairy Nutrition Services, was only 6 years old when she decided to devote her life to dairy. Rosemarie’s father, also a dairy nutritionist, instilled in his children that if you do what you love, you'll never have to work a day in your life.

For Rosemarie, pursuing her passion meant learning everything she could from dad about cow nutrition and animal care so she could follow in his footsteps. Eventually, she earned a PhD in animal sciences. Today, helping dairy farmers through sharing her expertise is what drives her.

"I wanted to join the dairy industry early on because I saw how my dad was able to help farmers through nutrition and management strategies—and I saw that he was also their friend,” says Rosemarie.
